What to Bring
Whether you are headed to bootcamp or a personal training session at the gym, don't leave home without the following:
- Gym clothes
The mornings can be cool in the gym or outside so layers are important. Some team members bring a hat and gloves just in case the air is extra crisp before sunrise. - Gym shoes
Bootcamps involve running in grassy fields. If you love your new, flashy, white sneakers, leave them at home and wear your old sneakers to boot camp. - Water
This is a necessity. Your body needs it to function properly. Working out or otherwise, it is always recommended to have a water bottle with you to stay hydrated. - Gym Gloves
While not a necessity, gym gloves can enable you to more easily grip weights while preventing callous buildup on your hands. - Gym Grips
VersaGripps is a well-known brand used by many team members. If you are lifting heavy weights, this can provide relief to your forearms and allow the intended muscles to work harder. - Protein
You work out hard. Be sure to have protein during or immediately following your workout to help your body repair and regenerate. This is most convenient in a protein drink form. - Positive Attitude
No one will tell you Ernie's workouts are easy. With the right attitude you can get through it and continue to improve your fitness level. Do your best and the results will come.
